mmm....

One of the reasons I usually don't mind heading up to Denver for photo shoots...Jimmy John's sandwiches are great! I hope we get one in Colorado Springs one day soon...

June 23 wedding at Denver First Baptist

Saturday we headed up to Denver to photograph Christine & Josh's wedding in downtown Denver. We had such a blast...great couple, fun wedding party and picture perfect weather (of course!). Planning was made perfect by our friend TC at Muse Events.

We started out with some preparation photos at the Curtis Hotel

double rainbow

This was the view off our deck this evening...a fabulous double-rainbow. I'm told seeing both ends of the rainbow is good luck so I'm absolutely sure that our wedding tomorrow will be fabulous...check back for pictures!
Truly though, rainbows are a reminder of God's promise not to flood the world again like in Noah's time. Here in Colorado Springs we're not exactly worried about being flooded away but it has been a pretty good year for the rain -- look how green everything is!

June 9th wedding at Hillside Gardens

This Saturday we photographed Carrie and Matt's wedding...we were treated to perfect weather, incredible scenery and and a great looking couple!

We started out at Sacred Heart Catholic near Old Colorado City.

Even with only a little prep time, Carrie was looking radiant and relaxed...

It didn't take us long to finish up at the church and head out to the gardens.

The getaway car was a sweet '34 Ford Roadster

We proceeded to the eclectic and scenic Hillside Gardens for the reception

Carrie and Matt took a romantic walk through the gardens

The boys had their fun

While the ladies were stunning

and the cutest flowergirls in town continued to pose...

We were treated to a cake from Little London Cake Shoppe -- trust me, anything from them is going to be incredible!

And our final treat was a picture-perfect sunset over Pike's Peak.

engagement in the rain

Poor Carrie & Matt -- they came all the way from North Carolina for this session and their wedding this weekend only to be victims of the regular Colorado afternoon rainstorms.

What troopers though! We made the best of it and decided that we were not going to melt (and that our professional camera equipment can handle a little rain) and went for a fun engagement session at Garden of the Gods.

Looks like it was worth it!!!

Congratulations Carrie & Matt -- see you Saturday!

Spring showers bring....flower picking portraits!

All our spring rains has caused wildflowers to sprout all over the beautiful fields along the front range. We took advantage of that with these two princesses earlier this week.

This is not something that we get the chance to do every year as the flowers are not always this plentiful -- if you want portraits like this (and what little 3-12 year old princess does not want to go flower picking!), get in touch with us right away to schedule your session -- mention you saw this on the blog and get 1/2 price creation fee!
