July 24 wedding at the Tapestry House

Tuesday we took the drive to Fort Collins to photograph Shannon and Scott's wedding at the beautiful Tapestry House.

The grounds were beautiful, even in the heat of late July, with flowers accenting the Victorian home.

The flowers attracted some special guests!

The house was gorgeous by night too.

Someone left a special 'signature' in the bridal parlor.

Shannon's mom helped lace up the dress.

They wanted some 'different' pictures and had fun with a 'Bond 007' theme for a few portraits. Scott picked up the Sean Connery pose quite well while Shannon made the perfect Bond girl.

The grand porch on the house made a perfect portrait location.

Scott and Shannon were quite the swing dancers, flying all over the dance floor and through the air. I've never seen a bride get this much air!

July 7 wedding in Central City, NE

Just about every photographer in the nation was busy on July 7, 2007 -- THE wedding date of the century! We were fortunate enough to photograph April and Adam's wedding in Central City, Nebraska (DeAnna's old stomping grounds).

The day started with hair appointments for the ladies and golfing for the guys:

Ring Security on the job - even at the golf course. It’s a VERY important job.

A little bit of sweet....

...and sassy!

Getting ready.

We set up the photo opportunity so that we could capture Adam’s emotional moment when he sees April for the first time on their wedding day…
BUT…Adam couldn’t resist the moment for a joke. He traded his tie for the ceremony with this hunter orange tie paired with the camouflage vests…

Surprise! Another moment was captured by IFP

April was good-natured about the joke and took it in stride – On your wedding day it’s all about having fun!

Life is a “journey” necklace. (Adam's gift to April)

The boys looking good...

Riding in style with Central Limousines of Grand Island, NE.

The real stylish ride was an '80s Grand Marquis with the top torched off!

A midnight ride in the “Chop Top” after the reception.

Some intimate quiet time with April & Adam before the reception…

Another a beautiful cake design …Elaine Graves in Aurora, NE
Ask about the cream cheese mints - YUM!

A romantic moment on the dance floor…

Another beautiful wedding – the moments captured by Image Factory Photography
Thank you April & Adam and your families for allowing us to be a part of your special day!

July 3 wedding at the US Air Force Academy

Just before we headed off for vacation we photographed two beautiful weddings, the first was at the Air Force Academy in Colorado Springs with Aerianne & Chris.

We started out at the USAFA Community Chapel and captured some very happy memories at the ceremony:

I think it's considered VERY good luck if a deer visits your wedding day photo session!

HAPPY brides make BEAUTIFUL brides!

The afternoon rain quit just in time to grab this sunset portrait as the reception came to a close.

Aerianne & Chris's album is terrific...we'll post a sample here soon!

Back!

We've returned to the studio after a fantastic relaxing vacation in the north woods of Wisconsin and Michigan. We spent a week on a wonderful private lake house we found on vrbo.com. Tim's whole family came up - grandma, grandpa and the cousins - fishing, boating, laying in the sun and eating like kings....it's enough to make you want to be a vacation bum full time!

We've been working hard on some beautiful album designs in the meantime and we'll show them here so stay tuned!
