October 24 Wedding at the Grant-Humphreys Mansion - Denver wedding photographer

This past Saturday we returned to the historic Grant-Humphreys Mansion in Denver for Ellie and Ryan's wedding. Even though many of the leaves from the trees had already fallen, we still had a beautiful autumn afternoon.



Ellie's dress was gorgeous and was accented with funky blue polka-dot shoes that matched the blue of her bridesmaids' gowns.





The massive bedroom windows of the mansion are perfect for portraits, or for just sitting and touching up your makeup:



Ellie planned her wedding for inside the mansion just in case of bad weather, but the day was nice enough to get some portraits outside before the ceremony. Beautiful bouquet from Amy at the Flower House:

After the wedding we made some quick family portraits in the reception room while the groomsmen got busy cracking the antique safe:



By the time we were able to get to the newlywed portraits the sun had gone down but that didn't stop us from getting some relaxed shots on the porch:



While we were busy with portraits The Food Guy set the tables for dinner:



We wrapped up the evening with singing and dancing in the ballroom downstairs. The light and the emotion of the moment make this one of my favorite first dance photographs ever:

October 10 wedding at The Curtis - Denver wedding photographer

While De and I were photographing another event at the Black Bear Country Club on October 10, our friend and associate Todd was shooting Kristin and Jon's hip urban wedding at the fun unique boutique Curtis hotel in downtown Denver.



Todd started with some detail and preparation shots:

After Kristin and Jon finally got to see each other, it was time for some portraits with the Lite Brite wall:

And they danced the night away in the ballroom overlooking downtown Denver.

October 10 wedding at Black Bear Country Club - Denver wedding photographer

This past Saturday we traveled to Black Bear Country Club in Parker where Brittany and Zach braved the freezing weather for a beautiful classy-Colorado wedding.



It's always a good idea to plan for any contingency when you have an outdoor October wedding in Colorado....so Brittany and Zach had a heated tent waiting along with color-coordinated blankets for their guests.



Brittany had her gorgeous wedding dress waiting for us to make some great art for her album....great idea to leave it in the bridal parlor the night before!





And, of course, our picture-perfect bride makes it all complete.

Ready to escort his daughter down the aisle...I love these moments between dad and bride. I'm amazed to think this will someday be me!



Even the flower girls performed perfectly despite the cold weather!



Zach and Brittany were able to sneak away right after the ceremony...I stood on my toes and pointed the camera through the opening at the top of the door to catch the moment ;)



Dana and her crew at Black Bear Country Club did a great job decorating the reception ballroom....fantastic flowers provided by Parker Blooms.
