Our portable studio

Today we photographed several dozen executive portraits for a major international corporation conducting a seminar in Denver. As we set up and worked with our 'mobile studio', I stopped to marvel at all the equipment we've ammassed over the years and took a moment to note how much we can bring to bear on any situation to get the job done -- here we literally were able to set up a full 2-station business portrait studio underneath an escalator in a hotel lobby! The portraits are incredible and the clients are having a great time -- just like they do with anything Image Factory handles.

We're growing! Over the next few weeks, you'll be seeing some pretty important changes to our web site. In order to best serve our customers, we'll be adding a new Image Factory Photography web site to specifically serve our customers at Tim's Image Factory studio in Colorado Springs. Since our studios are growing so rapidly, these changes will allow us to more specifically and directly serve our customers in their respective areas. Todd and Tim will continue to work together as time and distance allow and we remain the closest of friends and will mutually support our studios to offer you the best photography and the best service because you truly do Deserve Memories Like This!

These changes will also require briefly closing our online preview galleries for just a couple days. We'll announce when this happens and when they re-open on the respective web site blogs (here). We'll do everything within our power to retain customer registration information but if you need to re-register to see your pictures please understand and bear with us. Consequently, if you're a Nebraska customer who receives a studio update from Colorado or vice-versa, you'll know why. You can always ask us to take your e-mail off the list at any time. The best part of the upgrade here is that our online preview galleries and stores will be faster than ever before and ready to serve you with even more capacity!

Da Bears

A little late here but if you know me you know that I am a Bears fan and have been, even through the lean years, so I have to put a hooray here and make it known that the studio will be closed for business on Superbowl weekend (Feb 3-4) while we host our party. My dad sent me this photograph, no it's not me, but I do have to find one of these shirts...I like it! Go Bears!

The Mystery Shopper...

I'm driving back from a weekend of basketball tournament photographs tonight and got stuck in Colby, Kansas when I-70 closed so I logged on from the hotel to see who was visiting our web site and I had to laugh at this registration.

We always ask for visitors to 'register' on our web site before they can see photographs from a session or event. The registration is primarily used to help visitors easily return to the galleries they have access to and to bookmark favorite pictures. We also like to send an occasional e-mail newsletter to everyone who registers in hopes that if they were interested in seeing these pictures, they might be interested in our latest work, specials and news and maybe even someday will consider recommending us to their friends or hiring us themselves!

Anyway, I had to laugh that someone would be so reluctant to give their information so as to fill out a bogus registration. Honestly, it doesn't even bother me. If you're that worried that I'm going to flood you with marketing or try to sell you something, go ahead and fake it...no worries here. I'm sure those of you who do know us and how our business runs can attest to the fact that we're pretty low-stress and friendly and it's going to stay that way. In the meantime, enjoy the photographs!

The Colorado Convention Center

It seems we've been drawn to the Colorado Convention Center lately....we photographed a few events earlier this month and will have another one in just over a week. I'd been there before but never through the main entrance so last time when we were printing my directions and parking information from their web site, we laughed at the funny animated blue bear on their web site (www.denverconvention.com) only to laugh harder when we saw that it was based on the real 4-story blue bear statue peering into the glass atrium!




Today I'm in Hutchinson, Kansas photographing a basketball tournament with Todd but I had to log on to check some client photographs and ran accross this one and it made me smile so I thought I'd post it here for you and hopefully it makes you smile too...

Awesome engagement session!

We had to put off our first scheduled engagement session due to a snowstorm and since then we've had a few more big ones so we figured it was meant to be and we just went for it and made the snow a part of the pictures! Poor Lauren got a little cold but I made Tom keep her warm and I think the results are very worth it. Enjoy and we'll all pray for warmer weater for the wedding in March!

Danny Oertli and Nichole Nordeman concert

Last night Christian music superstars Danny Oertli and Nichole Nordeman came to Colorado Springs to put on a benefit concert for Colorado Springs Christian School. We had a great time with them and of course made some great images. For those who attended and are looking for more, we'll have the rest of the photgraphs posted in a couple days, including the ones we made with you and the singers!
