August 1 wedding in San Marcos, TX

We took a big trip this last week and headed down to San Marcos, TX for Jodi & Tim's wedding. We've gotten to know Jodi & Tim over the last couple years here in Colorado Springs and become friends so when they asked us to be their photographers, we jumped at the chance to make the 1,000 mile road trip and create beautiful images for them in Texas.




We started by meeting the girls at the beauty salon, the IsAnZe Day Spa where the girls were getting the royal treatment -- everyone had their own stylist or makup artist!






Back at the church the girls got ready. I think this image really epitomizes the chaos that goes on during preparation:




The church had a quaint stone arch that Jodi told me she'd dreamt about making her wedding day photographs under ever since she was a little girl. Time to make the dream come true!

Time for a quick dip into the 100-degree weather for some portraits. I'm so glad these guys were willing to brave the heat...I think it paid off:
